Learning objectives

  • Assess facial movement, expression patterns and pre-existing asymmetry.

  • Develop individualised treatment plans considering anatomy, brow position and patient goals.
  • Use facial mapping to plan and document treatment.
  • Plan botulinum toxin treatment with attention to natural movement and expression balance.
  • Demonstrate appropriate clinical skills under faculty supervision.
  • Recognise adverse effects and identify when further assessment or referral is needed.

Eligibility & prerequisites
  • Medical degree and current professional registration.
  • Completion of assigned preparatory learning before the practical session.
  • Previous botulinum toxin training is helpful but is not required to apply.

Certification

A Certificate of Masterclass Completion, issued by the Canadian Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine, is awarded upon:

  • Completion of the assigned preparatory learning.
  • Full attendance at the in-person programme.
  • Successful completion of required assessments and faculty practical sign-off.

This masterclass counts towards the Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine. The fellowship is awarded upon completion of all required masterclasses and associated assessments.

Certification does not itself confer a professional licence or clinical privileges.
