Aesthetic gynaecology addresses appearance-related and functional concerns involving the vulva, vagina and perineum. This course considers normal anatomical variation and changes associated with childbirth, ageing and menopause, alongside their effects on sexual comfort, body image and quality of life.
The teaching reviews surgical options and examines injectable, regenerative, energy-based and thread approaches. Topics include platelet-rich plasma (PRP), labia majora augmentation, G-spot augmentation, vaginismus management, vulval peels and vaginal narrowing with threads. Ovarian PRP and selected wider PRP applications are also discussed.
The course suits gynaecologists, plastic surgeons and medical practitioners working in aesthetic medicine with an interest in female genital health. Patient selection, psychological considerations, informed consent, normal anatomical variation and ethical practice are recurring themes.
Through recorded clinical cases, procedural discussions and model demonstrations, participants practise comparing treatment approaches and identifying assessment, counselling and aftercare priorities. Proposed mechanisms, reported benefits and procedural recommendations are examined as presented by the speakers, with attention to anatomical uncertainty, variable responses and complications rather than assumed treatment efficacy.
Learning objectives
- Describe vulvovaginal anatomy, normal variation and changes associated with childbirth, ageing and menopause.
- Assess functional, aesthetic and psychological concerns while identifying counselling, consent and referral priorities.
- Compare the surgical, injectable, energy-based and thread approaches discussed in the teaching.
- Outline PRP preparation methods, proposed mechanisms and gynaecological applications presented by the speakers.
- Explain the assessment and multimodal management of vaginismus, including the botulinum toxin approach demonstrated.
- Appraise reported benefits, anatomical uncertainties, procedural risks and aftercare considerations without treating speaker experience as established efficacy.
